Safe Space Policy

It is really important to us that you feel safe attending our event, and so Swindon Zine Fest operate the following Safe Spaces Policy.
We aim to create a respectful, understanding, inclusive and supportive space for all. We do not police gender in our spaces.
Harassment of event attendees, staff or volunteers at the event will not be tolerated and anyone violating this policy at our events will be asked to leave the venue.
Harrassment; will not be tolerated and anyone violating this policy will be asked to leave. Harassment includes, but is not limited to:
  • Verbal comments that reinforce social structures of domination
  • Offensive verbal comments or attitudes related to gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, or religion
  • Deliberate intimidation
  • Sustained disruption of discussions
  • Inappropriate physical contact
  • Unwelcome attention
  • Advocating for, or encouraging, any of the above behaviour

If anyone engages in this behaviour towards you, the Zine Fest team will take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender or expulsion from the event. If you feel you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact us behind us communal table or message us on the Zine Fest Facebook page here
